Today Reiner’s trial resumed. It was certainly very different from the preivous days, especially part 2. I have read enough detective novels to know one is not to give away major plot twists. If the public prosecutor is himself prosecuted it is liable to open up much wider issues than John's own misconduct.
Reiner's side presented evidence that the government regarded him as a serious political threat and implied that that likely motivated his prosecution. Those interests the prosecutor served would possibly be exposed if he is prosecuted.
We will see. John has been exceptional. He was the only prosecutor willing to take the charges against Reiner as criminal charges. So most judges may be happy to see John removed. Many comply without wanting to comply. I see that Reiner has been willing to go where others have not gone. Also he is an amazing info gatherer.

Yes and poor Ed Wackerman age 71 and not so strong of health, has been in jail for 8 months and now his hearing is set for July. By then he will have been in jail, innocent of any crime for over a year. They added 10 more counts of felony arson to his charges .. that makes 16 counts now against him.. Life in prison.. Can you imagine how he feels? They put a bullet proof vest on him and shackles to parade him in court. His attorney has not presented Robert Brame's evidence to his client that can exonerate him. He has no computer to watch videos.. His daughter Julie in Alaska is very worried she will never be with him again. And his health is failing. It has GOT to be unconstitutional to hold an innocent man in prison instead of letting him be at home with an ankel bracelet or something. He is not a flight risk for peats sake.
