You are right to draw attention to the apparently odd mentality of the prosecution witnesses. I am staggered by how so many of those surrounding Reiner can think and behave as they appear to have done. It is very hard to comprehend and there is something unsatisfactory and inadequate about having to say to oneself: well they are evil and that is how such people are. But what else can one say?
As I understand it the prosecution witnesses have all been heard and their poor characters and conspiracy exposed. The corruption of the system runs deep; it is so hard to see how else the court still insists on Reiner's incarceration and fails to secure his misappropriated assets. The corruption is common across what I used to consider the free world.
