This reminds me of the case of a young teenager (I think she was 13-years-old, not sure now) who was gang raped for hours and then when the police interrogated her for hours in a row, pushing her to 'confess' it had not been rape, the media and the authorities accepted the disgusting assumption which should've been actually the cause for another investigation on the officers who had interrogated her, if that can be called interrogation at all!
