I think one of the most important comments was made by you, Elsa, in talking to Andrew when you said something like, "We are not valued. We are are not precious. We are not cared about" by the rulers of this world. Yes, absolutely!! You got to the essence of the situation, in my opinion.

We can call them aliens or psychopaths, but Jesus and the early Christians call them "the principalities and powers". Jesus in the desert was tempted by The Adversary, who offered him all the kingdoms of the world if Jesus would bow down and worship him, and Jesus didn't say, "They're not yours." Jesus implicitly accepted the premise that all the kingdoms of the world are under the control of The Adversary. Yet somehow we still find it hard to wrap our heads around it! The Adversary has great PR!

It's because there *isn't* any obvious demarcation between 'them' and 'us'. Where do we stop and they begin? Is someone like Charles III a nice well-meaning bloke, an irrelevant numpty, or the Antichrist? We can't tell just by looking. But maybe talk to Anneke Lucas about what these kinds of people do to small children ...

Maybe Charles may be any or all of those things, depending on who or what is inhabiting his meat-suit at that moment?

I just know that if Jesus makes a clear distinction between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of this world, then that tells me the rulers of this world may be powerful but they certainly are not benign.
