Very sorry to report, my friend who lives in a neighboring county did not respond to looking further into Ed Wackerman's case and perhaps going to support him. And here there's Susan from Canada. How absolutely kind she is!!!
Wonderful, isn't it, how that worked out. But than, Susan had read all the posts from Ed, and she had come to care about him. CARING -such an important thing. If Ed was someone unknown to your friend, it may have been that she didn't deeply care.
Probably right now your friend has more than enough to care for!! Also some of us care more about "the world" - what's outside our family, friends, work.

I was really touched to see that he "is scared"...of course, who wouldn't be, and especially when he has done nothing wrong and is not free to express himself or live freely. All of this would end, in a 'hot NY minute', if you'd (Ed) would just make a Claim(s) against ALL Public Servants involved! EVERY STATE has this, with their Public Servants.
Not only will this END, with this 'lawfare' against Ed, but he'll WIN HIS CLAIMS ($$$$$$$).
And if the amount of the Claim, against EACH Public Servants Bond, EXCEEDS their Bond amount......that Public Servant is effectively......FIRED! And can NEVER hold a govt job, ever again....because they would be considered, by the 'Bond Insurance Company', to be HIGH RISK, and they will REFUSE to Bond that individual.
Whatever state that this lawfare is going on in, just look up the State Code. I tried looking it up in my own state, once......but it was maddening, trying to find it. But that was before 'AI' came along, in search engines.
I'm doing the research on how to do this in North Carolina, for all of those people who were victims of the hurricane, and are now being victimized again, with Land Grabs and their local/state Public Servants.
I'm using the Brave Search Engine and having it answer me via the 'Answer with AI' option that it has. It may take people a few tries to get exactly what they are looking for; just play around with the wording, in the AI Search.

Going after Public Servants Bonds, is one of 'their'(govts) best kept secrets! Very few (as far as the WHOLE country goes) knows about this. Neither do lawyers; and they SHOULD! This is something that they do not teach in 'law SKOOL' (spelled on purpose).
I would suggest writing ALL of the Public Servants involved, with Ed's case, and inform them that Ed, and his family, will be making Claims against their Bonds. Send them a 'Letter of Intent' (or email) informing them of this. In the letters/emails, tell them that the Claim against their Bond will be for 5 MILLION $$ for 'MALFEASANCE, and a host of others'. NOT naming the 'others', to keep them guessing. Maybe just the THREAT of Ed, and his family (Claims should be made by EACH family member, along with Ed), will make them back off. It's quite likely that just the THREAT of the Claims, which would be a THREAT against their cushy, TAX-PAYER-PAID job, will scare the SHIT out of them, and they won't pursue this further.
Then, find someone in Cali, or ask Ed's family if they know someone to take this on? I wish that I could do more; sorry. :( But I have a hard time 'following through' on some things. And this is too important for me to take on, and then 'slack off' on it.

I was thinking of both money and time. I could set up a givesendgo for a certain amount for travel money. I could ask how much they'd need. I can check with them.
