If Ed now has to pay for his medication, he should be allowed to buy the correct pain killers that have been prescribed by his own doctor. I would be happy to send money to help to pay for this.

Your most recent letter got through!! Message from Ed: I got a letter from Jill, thank you Jill

That's wonderful, Elsa! I was thinking about it yesterday when I got an email from my cousin who posted it. I'll write again soon.

That would make sense, wouldn't it? But no, that painkiller is, I am sure, off-limits. But I WILL ASK NOW and get back to you. By the way, I am sure Ed's daughter would have paid for it, it that were possible. It is a strong painkiller - which worked for 18 years, no habituation, etc. Thank you for your offer!!

I find it so distressing to think of Ed being left to suffer so much pain for such a long time. I would love to be able to help to get him the medication he needs. Perhaps it didn't occur to his daughter to ask. All the stress must be hard for her too.

Ed has asked many times. I have been told that so has Julie, his daughter. Julie has also left messages with Ed's doctor. Never any answer. I had one very nice talk with him. After that, I left several messages. No answer. The head nurse is married to the person who long was the district attorney (I believe that's the right title) in charge of arresting Ed - anyway, in charge of the case. In other words, it's not for want of trying.

It's awful to be met with a brick wall like that, Elsa. When I said that perhaps it didn't occur to his daughter to ask, I meant to ask yet again due to the change in circumstances. Very sad to hear that the doctor won't even try to help. They are doing to Ed what was done to Julian Assange.

Elsa, are we allowed to send Ed funds for the commissary?

I’ll look up the prison website. Maybe there is a place to enter the person’s number and then you’re able to use a credit card to fund the amount.

Let me know if it's as easy as Ed's daughter claims it is. I oftenfind that when I know something it's easy, but the first time, it is very daunting.

I just heard back from Ed. I was surprised. The answer is YES:

Yes, there is an account under my name and ID number. Julie [Ed's daughter] said she uses her credit card. I'm sorry I don't know exactly how, but she has told me it's easy. I'm overwhelmed that people would do that for me.

NAME: Ed Wackerman

ID NUMBER: #12511

I will ask him. I know he is allowed 2 stamps a week - so he can send 2 letters. I will see about funds. I know he can get nothing physical except paperback books from Amazon. And thank you so much for your thoughtful caring.

Did he have a trial? Sorry I’m late to this. I’ll for sure send a letter. This is horribly frustrating for you, I’m sure. Very commendable of you to help this man.

No preliminary hearing for almost 18 months, and to the best of my memory, no bail hearing for another month or 2. And of course no bail. No trial until Oct 31, 2025 - after being charged in June '23. I believe there is supposed to be, in the US, a speedy trial. Thank you for being willing to write a letter. If there is any place you can share the letter and information about Ed, it would be great. Yes, it is frustrating. The blatant injustice - and I just found out, from the answer someone got to sending in the form, that the place to send a complaint about abuse is not the ombudsperson, but the judge in charge of the case!!!

This information just always makes me so angry!! Grr..what right do they have to detain someone without an immediate trial? This sort of practice is going on everywhere!!

2 years is a long time at his age!! Or is this their sick agenda?

Can you approach a news channel? I know it's tough for you as you are doing so much already.

Being in the UK I don't know what charities or other that you can approach to be able to get something done?

So sorry for this poor man..yes DEWs are in use! Everywhere!

They need to look at the evidence; damage to trees and buildings, fires started by DEW are incredibly intense (obviously) in certain areas..they can tell! I hope his case is reviewed and quickly. Saw videos detailing this, I am no expert, just saw the evidence!

Thank you for all that you are doing to help him, it's wonderful decent souls such as yourself who make this world bearable!! Best wishes, Fiona, UK

Please help. Like by writing to the California Ombudsperson, or filling in the form and sending it.

Thank you. So important. I don't know if this will get Ed good treatment. But I know it matters to do what we can. So again, thank you.

It's a ridiculous situation! Why would he have done this?.is he a Targeted Individual? Being set up? Just a thought !

Best wishes

He's a "nobody" - anybody. They wanted, the evidence suggests, to pin it on somebody, and there weren't a lot of choices. So, bingo: Ed!! Other fires were successfully pinned on "nobodies" - a homeless man, a confused person who defined herself as a shaman.

I hear what you are saying, as a targeted individual myself they are constantly trying to find ways of sectioning me via mental health system, any way to incarcerate me.

Life's not easy.

Whatever he is, he is a human being deserving of respect and good treatment..just hope he gets help. At least you care!!!

Thank you

Even the most powerful pain "madications" (sic!) only alleviate the pain by no more than 30%, and once the body gets used to them, it becomes dependent and, to make matters worse, they don't even help anymore.

Also, I have read about an expecting mother taking Tylenol and after a single pill, she needed a liver transplant... Over-the-counter means general poisoning and nothing safe...

Whatever Ed was taking before his arrest stopped the pain for 18 years. No habituation. No pain.

A lot of our prescription meds are not safe either. Most of our generics in the US are made in India. Ingredients are sourced from Communist China. There may be some decent Indian companies, but many do not practice safe manufacturing practices. Some are made In China too.
