As an entertainer, I have been devastated and practically destroyed by the closure of all performance venues and then when they reopened, because MY BODY, MY CHOICE - being made a total untermenschen pariah outcast in NAZI NIGHTMARE LAWLESS 'SHOW ME YOUR PAPERS' JAB CROW APARTHEID/DISCRIMINATION/SEGREGATION HELL NYC WHERE THE MAD/DRUNK WITH POWER TYRANT POLS DOUBLE DOWN ON THEIR ILLEGAL MANDATES. I am trapped here with zero financial resources to leave or do anything else about this 'wish I were dead' endless misery life has become. The tragic irony is that my SPREAD THE YOGA LOVE performances are all about health, miraculously overcoming age (68) and injury to achieve feats of flexibility few can attain at any age. So BIG PHARMA who wants to addict every person on the planet to their toxic products hate people like me who prove that we do not need them if we eat healthy organic food and exercise daily!

I wish I could give a quick fairy wand remedy. As we both know, fairy wand remedies are few and far between.
I do wonder: is there some way for you to get online classes, or some other online work, going? You may want to talk with me if that interests you. It could be to work with a few people, or even 1-2-1. It might be what can get you going at this point.
Then, are you still in NYC? Cities - the least safe places, from all I have heard.
I am so sick of this talk of homesteads and off grid living. Where in the chop wood/carry water drudgery world you dream of is a place for an entertainer like me? Performers must have densely populated vibrant thriving urban centers to have audiences and venues!
OH HELL NO to any performing online! Oh gads that is the worst most unreal garbage crap ever! There are no substitutes for performing in real life in real venues in front of cheering, clapping crowds! Or to doing video shoots where the crew are a sort of audience. Or to being interviewed and discussing crucial issues about life and the arts. Performing all alone in front of a computer - makes me want to scream! Worst damned thing!
One can live in the country without being off grid.
No argument: you want a vibrant alive city. I don't know if - or how long - that is a current option.
Then, one thing for both pleasure and financial benefits: teaching.
I happen to love teaching. I've loved teaching for decades. It's a natural love.
I don't know if teaching has ever been something you've tried. Not teaching elementary yoga moves. Teaching something you love to people who would love to learn what it's within their capacity to learn.
For over a decade, I had a ballet jazz teacher. A brilliant teacher who had decades earlier started les Ballets Jazz de Montreal. I love dance, but I didn't have a clue about ballet jazz. It was amazing working with her, because she was really great at seeing what I could do, and the learning went on from there. I filmed my tribute to her, when she was a week from turning 88. She died at 89, collapsing with a major heart attack a day after teaching her last class - at a major tribute to her!! Here is the video:
