MARK YOUR CALENDAR: CAROLLING FOR REINER. On the Solstice, Thurs, Dec 21, 3 pm ET. This is a courageous act on our part!

It’s barely 2 weeks ago that I came to the idea: let’s do Christmas Carolling for Reiner. I want to thank everyone who came even to one rehearsal, and especially to those who made the commitment (and had the time to do this) to come to all the rehearsals they could.

We had ever so much to learn!

But we’re not quitters - or we wouldn’t be in this whole effort to make the world a good place for humanity!

Challenge One. Zoom isn’t music friendly!!! So how de we cope with time lag, with voices out of sync, with Zoom’s tendency to filter out music? The answer. We cope by accepting Challenge Two.

Challenge Two. We learn, somewhat slowly accept, and then work within Zoom’s limitations. (We have no other choice.)

Challenge Three. Everyone was welcome, from Roger with his booming low voice, to VJ with her trained high voice, to me with my far from perfect pitch! So how do we do what we’re committed to doing, giving a place to everyone. Again, we find a way.

The Outcome - a courageous act on our part, on mine anyway! A 10-minute performance - with Christmas carols, and MORE!!!

THE PERFORMANCE:
- to CELEBRATE all our amazing achievements - like those of Reiner, and also everyone else’s.
- to COMMEMORATE all the pain and suffering - like Reiner’s unjust imprisonment, and also so much more, like the deaths of the estimated 17 million who have, so far, died from the injections.
