NEW International Initiative to Free Reiner Fuellmich. SINGING CHRISTMAS CAROLS FOR REINER FUELLMICH.

This idea has just come to me. Let’s do an International Christmas Carolling for Reiner Fuellmich.

Before going further, it matters to me to say: I’m secular, grew up secular. My parents celebrated Christmas and Easter, but would have nothing to do with their religion of origin, Catholicism, for very good reasons - including the silence of the Catholic church on what was being done to the Jews during World War II, and that the village priest sent my father’s mother back home, when she had run out into the winter night barefoot, because of how severely she was being beaten by her husband. The priest’s response to her: she would be rewarded in the afterlife. But Christmas carols - like Silent Night, Holy Night - those were sung in my home, and came in on the radio. They were also taught in my school, though about 90% of the students were Jewish. We all learned and sang them. Those were different days!!

I’ve stayed secular. And I’ve stayed loving Christmas carols.

I also know Reiner is secular - believing there is something more than the physical, believing we are engaged in a war between good and evil forces, but not adhering to any religion.

Anyway, it’s come to me: LET’S DO AN INTERNATIONAL CHRISTMAS CAROLLING FOR REINER!! All people welcome, who believe in human rights and freedoms. We can do it on Zoom, including through Youtube Live.

I am sure we can get the recording to the people who come with banners outside the prison. Could the carols be played loudly enough so they could be heard inside the prison? Could his attorney bring a recording to Reiner? Or maybe Reiner could only know of this, even if he can’t hear the carols. I don’t know. I hope there’s a way he can hear the carolling. I know that Inka could hear the carolling.

The one carol I am sure I want sung: Silent Night, Holy Night - Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht. That’s always touched me deeply.

Now it’s your turn.

Volunteers needed. Does anyone play the guitar and know Christmas carols? What about a piano or keyboard? A bass guitar? Please write to me, either directly or in the comments.

This can only happen if people want to take part.

I can set up a time for practicing on Zoom, and a time for recording. Nothing professional. Just us singing.

And then, what songs would you want sung? In addition to Silent Night, I especially like Jingle Bells, I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas, and Away in a Manger. What about you?

I see about 10 songs in total.

Here are the people with the banner outside the prison, this week standing in the snow. I think it would be great if Christmas carols were being played. Maybe they could even sing along. (Of course this would be only if they wanted to take part.)

They are clearly way too far from the prison for anything to be heard in the prison.

Are they permitted to go closer? I don’t know anything about any of that. Information welcome.
